Cinnamon Cassia is a close relative of traditional cinnamon. Cassia has been used for thousands of years for its multiple health benefits. It’s one of the few essential oils mentioned in the Old Testament. It is also considered one of the 50 fundamental herbs in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The essential oil is noted for its unmistakable fragrance and calming aromatic properties.
Cinnamon Cassia is similar to Ceylon Cinnamon (both from the same family) and has many of the same medicinal benefits and uses. However Cinnamon Cassia is sweeter than Ceylon Cinnamon.
Cinnamon Cassia is a “warming” oil that helps promote healthy immune and digestive function. Cinnamon Cassia is a great oil to diffuse during cold months due to its warming properties and pleasant spicy scent.
