COOKIES
A cookie is a text file stored on your computer’s hard drive. Web sites create cookies to record information about your preferences, such as the items you add to your shopping cart, and for security reasons (see Credit Card Security below). Most cookies expire after a certain time period. The most popular browsers, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge, can be set to give you the option of accepting or rejecting all cookies.
To shop online, your browser will need to be configured to accept cookies. We suggest that you accept cookies only from Web sites created by companies you know and trust.
If you wish, you may set your browser to reject all cookies and still view the site. Because our online ordering system requires cookies, you will not be able to order online, But you can still place an order by contacting us (email, phone, fax or mail).
CREDIT CARD SECURITY
The Internet is a vast network of computers. Because the data passes from computer to computer, some Internet shoppers worry that unauthorized persons may intercept the data and gain access to credit card numbers, but shopping on a secure site is actually safer than handing a credit card to a waiter in a restaurant or store. Taking the steps below will lower the chances of interception of your credit card number:
Limit your online shopping to Internet merchants, such as Pure-lē, with sites equipped with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL prevents unauthorized people from intercepting your data. Use a browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge, that supports SSL. These browsers show a symbol in the status bar, such as a key or lock, when you are on a site that uses SSL. Most banks will cover the cost of fraud resulting from unauthorized use of your credit card or may limit your liability. Credit card information collected by Pure-lē is encrypted through Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted over the Internet.
Pure-lē fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities, and may in its sole discretion disclose Personal Information or other information to satisfy any law, regulation, subpoena, or government request. Pure-lē reserves the right to release Personal Information or other information about users who we believe are engaged in illegal activities or are otherwise in violation of our Terms of Use, even without a subpoena, warrant or court order, if we believe in our sole discretion that such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to operate the Web site, or to protect the rights or property of Pure-lē, its affiliates, or any of their officers, directors, or employees, agents, third-party content providers, suppliers, sponsors, or licensors. Pure-lē also reserves the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities we reasonably believe in our sole discretion to be unlawful.
Miscellaneous
Pure-lē wants you to be aware that when you click on links (including advertising banners), which take you to third-party Web sites, you will be subject to such third parties’ privacy policies. While we support the protection of privacy on the Internet, Pure-lē expressly disclaims any and all liability for the actions of third parties, including without limitation actions relating to the use and/or disclosure of Personal Information by third parties.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT; AMENDMENTS
This agreement constitutes the entire and only agreement between Pure-lē and each user of this site with respect to the subject matter of this agreement and supersedes any and all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties and understandings, written or oral, with respect to the subject matter of this agreement. You agree to review this agreement prior to your use of this site and your use of this site shall be deemed acceptance of and assent to this agreement by you. Pure-lē may, in its sole discretion, amend this Terms of Use agreement from time to time.
SEVERABILITY
If any word, term, or provision of these Terms and Conditions are deemed invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other provisions, and these Terms and Conditions shall be construed as if such invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision had never been contained in it.
JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada (without regard to the conflicts or choice of law principles thereof). The parties irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of Ontario, Canada and agree that any court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Ontario, Canada shall be an appropriate and convenient place of venue, and shall be the sole and exclusive place of venue, to resolve any dispute with respect to these Terms and Conditions.

Support and FAQ
Does Pure-lē sell direct to consumers?
Yes! Shop our products
What does Pure-lē mean?
Back in the 1970’s, our founders Sandy & Al, were looking for a name that would represent their commitment for their products and the way they conduct business. Pure-lē Natural was the result. Once organic standards for supplements became available, and we became certified organic, Pure-lē Organic was born. Pure-lē reminds us daily of our founders’ and our own commitment to produce the purest, cleanest products available and to conduct our business in the purest, cleanest way possible, respecting our suppliers, customers, partners and the environment, always.
Are all your products Organic?
Some of our products are Certified Organic (clickable link to shop organic section), but there are a few that are not. It is possible that those that are not certified may be organically grown, however the cost of certification for small scale farmers (we deal with many) may be too high. In that case, the product was grown organically, but may not be certified on a technical basis.
Are all your products Kosher?
Many of our products are Certified Kosher, but there are a few that are not. It is possible that those that are not certified may contain ingredients that can be kosher, however the cost of certification for small scale farmers and ingredient suppliers (we deal with many) may be too high. Wherever possible we use Kosher certified ingredients, even in products not certified Kosher.
Are all your products NON-GMO?
Yes! As part of our Pure-lē commitment to our customers and to the environment we source only Non-GMO materials for our products.
Do you test your products for heavy metals, pesticides, radiation and microbiological contaminants?
Pure-le sends every single product to Canadian government GLP certified independent quality control labs for quality testing to ensure unbiased independent review of our products. This is in addition to the testing we perform in-house on both raw materials and finished products. Every product is tested and scrutinized, up to ten times, on multiple parameters before it can be released by Quality Assurance for distribution and sale. We at minimum follow testing parameters set by Health Canada that include heavy metals, pesticides, micro-contaminants, algal toxins and identity.
If any batch fails any test, Quality Assurance will not release that product for sale and the product is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
Where are the ingredients Pure-lē uses sourced from?
We follow the concentric circle sourcing philosophy. We are blessed to be located in South Central Ontario Canada which has the optimal growing conditions for a large number of the ingredients we use. We have worked for decades (and continue to) with Agriculture Ontario and independent Ontario farmers to fulfill many of our requirements. When we are unable to source from Ontario, we move to the rest of Canada, working with Provincial Agriculture Ministries in Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
For the ingredients that don’t grow in Canada, we rely on our international network of quality suppliers that we have fostered for over half a century. These long-standing relationships are vital to ensuring we receive the “cream of their crops”. In some cases dealing with the second and even third generations at the same supplier.
No matter where in the world an ingredient originates, it must meet or exceed our Quality Assurance department’s standards. For most ingredients our Quality Assurance department requires samples prior to ordering. They reject the vast majority of samples we receive (in some cases as high as 95% rejection rate). Quality Assurance’s mandate is just that; to ensure quality. They are not concerned about price or “friendly” relations, just quality. If Quality Assurance says no, its no. Once Quality Assurance approves an ingredient, it is brought to our Barrie, Ontario, Canada facility for production.
Who Owns Pure-lē?
Pure-le is a Canadian family owned and operated business, by the Thuna family. We have been active in the Herbal industry since 1864, long before it was called the Natural Health industry. Over 4 generations we have learned a great deal and forged many relationships.
We constantly try to improve our products and production processes. All our knowhow and supplier relationships go into every bottle, jar and bag we make. You benefit from our century and a half experience.
Why are there color and taste variations between batches of your products?
Color and taste variations are common in truly natural products. Just as any two apples from the same tree will be different in size, shape, colour and flavour, so will all other natural products.
There are different factors that contribute to these variations; the time of the year the product was harvested, the soil conditions, enzyme activity, hours of sunshine, level of rainfall and other factors. Since we are Pure-lē, we use ingredients as nature provides. We never use artificial colours or flavours to mask these naturally occurring differences. The purity, efficacy and quality of each batch is still guaranteed.
Where are Pure-lē products made?
All Pure-lē products are manufactured by us in our Government certified GMP, Kosher and Organic facility located in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
Are your products allergen-free?
We choose our ingredients very carefully and do our best to minimize the use of any potentially allergenic substances where possible. We do not use soy or gluten in our products. However, we do have some products that contain other potential allergens. We employ a stringent GMP allergen program to ensure any allergens are not cross-contaminated. Every product has a corresponding allergen sheet listing all potential allergens. Please go to the individual product pages to see them. We recommend that you always check the product allergen sheet and the product label to ensure what allergens may be present.
What are your vegan caps made from?
They are 100% Non-GMO vegetable-sourced from sustainable plants including bamboo, turmeric and algae.
Are your products tested on animals?
Pure-le is a cruelty-free brand. We believe in the beauty and splendor of nature. We don’t test any of our products on animals.
My bottle appears to be only partially full, why?
All of our powder products are filled by weight (in grams), as indicated on the label. When bottles are filled with powder, settling of the product naturally occurs in transit. We do however have quality procedures and GMP-compliant methods to ensure each bottle contains the stated amount of product by weight.
All of our liquid products are filled by volume, as indicated on the label. When filling liquids we need to be mindful of Canada’s weather. We need to leave headroom in the bottle for the liquid can expand based on temperature. Canada is a vast wonderful country and we ship product to every part of Canada and sometimes it can be COLD. We need to package so that our products can have the best chance possible to arrive to customers in pristine condition, at 300 and even at -450 or -500!
